In order for us to provide the numbers of lines/trunks that you require to meet your application(s) you will need to provide us with the following information.

1. The number of calls you want to accommodate.

This factor must be based upon the busiest hour of the busiest day of the month. You can obtain this information in a number of ways.
A. If your telephone system keeps statistics it will appear in the Peg Count Field
B. Have your operator/receptionist keep a tally for the period
C. If unsure, a good rule of thumb is that 17% of all calls received during an eight hour day will arrive in one hour i.e. the busy hour. Please enter the busy hour number of calls:

2. Average speed of answer (ASA).i.e the number of rings before the call is answered.

This information may also be available from your telephone systems statistics. A typical ASA is 15 seconds.

3. Average length of an incomming call in minutes seconds .

If unsure, you can determine the average length of an outgoing call from your telephone billing, which is oftentimes very close to the incomming call length.

4. If this study is for lines/trunks that are used in both directions i.e "bothway trunks", please enter the the number of outgoing calls: and the average length of an outgoing call:
