CASE STUDIES

State Agencies & Departments

A high visibility state department needed to upgrade its call center in order to improve service its many citizen callers. CAA was retained to lead the project. One of the difficulties was  that a lager number of calls came from individuals that mistakenly called them before registering a complaint with their vendor. The result was callers were queued for a the department could not be of service to until they registered an official complaint with their provider. CAA designed an interactive voice application that not only eliminated these calls from the queue, but actually enabled the caller to be automatically transferred to the provider that that needed to speak with. This resulted in better service for the callers as well as dramatically improving customer service for all callers.

A large state agency needed to upgrade its entire voice/data infrastructure. CAA was retained to perform in depth traffic studies and design the infrastructure that would carry the thousands of calls per day and the accompanying data communications inquiries. CAA performed these tasks and was 100% accurate, helping them to achieve a trouble-free cutover.

Another state agency with extremely sophisticated telecommunications needs required an evaluation to determine the potential financial and operational benefits of utilizing an existing Lucent telecommunications platform to consolidate operations for many diverse departments. CAA provided an in depth report on its findings that was very well received by the agency and the State.

Cities & Towns

A small island school system was experiencing major difficulties with its telephone systems and painfully slow Internet access. After conducting a survey to determine the school systems, present and future need, CAA developed a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) and entertained bids from the leading world's leading telecommunications suppliers. Ultimately, a distributed Mitel PBX system was selected that is connected via fiber optic cable that provides seamless voice communications and high speed data/Internet access.

A very progressive/technologically advanced community desired to have all the town's telecommunications totally integrated. This included voice, voice mail, LAN, WAN, and Internet access to all Town departments, Schools, Police/ Fire Departments , municipal buildings etc, CAA developed a comprehensive RFP for the distributed communications equipment and voice over SONET equipment necessary to do the job. The RFP was sent to the world's leading suppliers of this type of equipment. After complete evaluation of all proposals, NEC was selected as the best vendor for this application.
